Uponor, Hutchinson's newest manufacturer, is looking to fill about 50 positions for its $6.35 million manufacturing facility in the city.

The facility will become operational this spring and continue to ramp up throughout the summer.

The positions are in manufacturing, maintenance, quality and engineering. A job fair where prospective employees can learn more will take place 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Uponor's Hutchinson facility, 50 W. Highland Park Drive N.E.

Attendees will meet Uponor recruiters and supervisors, watch videos depicting a “day-in-the-life” of people working various positions, and have the opportunity for on-the-spot interviews.

Interviews will be conducted for PEX operators, senior maintenance technicians, shipping and receiving clerks, mixing and tooling operators and quality control technicians.

Uponor announced its decision to move to Hutchinson in July 2017. Uponor North America, based in Apple Valley, was voted a top 20 Minnesota workplace in 2017 and recent 2018 Manufacturer of the Year.
