The Minnesota Garlic Festival returned to Hutchinson Saturday at the McLeod County Fairgrounds. Thousands of visitors came for the garlic, but plenty stuck around for the beer, food and live music.
Rogue Flamenco and Preludes to a Blizzard drew crowds indoors and out, guest chefs presented demos on stage and 15 garlic growers were featured at booths in the Agribition Building. The newly reconstructed McLeod County Fairgrounds Pavilion provided shade for visitors eager to chow down, have a drink or enjoy live music.
The Minnesota Garlic Festival is an educational and fundraising event for the Crow River chapter of the Sustainable Farming Association. Proceeds go to furthering its mission.
