A Silver Lake man was arrested Saturday evening after police responded to reports of shots fired.
The McLeod County Sheriff's Office, Hutchinson police, Silver Lake police and Minnesota State Patrol responded to the 1200 block of 180th Street, southwest of Silver Lake, at 9:54 p.m. The county's emergency response unit was paged to the scene. Using a PA system, officers spoke with Gerald Roy Zeik, 64, and asked him to come outside.
Zeik was arrested for alleged threats of violence and for allegedly handling a dangerous weapon recklessly. He was in custody at the McLeod County Jail Monday morning. His intake time was at 12:29 a.m..
The case is under investigation.
