The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for areas along and north of a line from Canby to Litchfield to Cambridge, starting this afternoon (Wednesday, Dec. 26) and lasting through Friday morning. The warning is in effect from from 3 p.m. this afternoon to noon Friday, Dec. 28.
Heavy mixed precipitation is expected with total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze. Winds may gust as high as 35 mph.
A winter storm warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet and ice will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
