Following are Fifth-graders of the Month for September as chosen by teachers at Litchfield Middle School. Comments about each student were submitted by the teaching staff.
Dominik Lopez-Straus
Dominik is a caring and empathetic student here at LMS. Dominik shows his strong character in class by including everyone and giving everyone an opportunity to be successful. Dominik shows these selfless acts while keeping up with his own responsibilities. Dom is the prime example of what a great student and great leader is. Way to go Dom!
Beau Beckstrand
Beau has been super helpful to peers when they need help. He has taken extra time to help someone clean up at the end of the hour, and he is willing to work with a variety of students if someone needs a partner. Leading by example is Beau’s style by making good choices, using his classroom work time wisely and being prepared for class each day. An awesome start to the school year!
Evan Miller
Evan is a strong leader and team player. He leads by example, works hard, and uses his time wisely. Evan is always willing to help others and volunteers to help peers with schoolwork when they have a difficult time understanding it. He does a great job participating in class and shows tremendous engagement in each class. Evan shows strong effort in all his schoolwork and shows up with a great attitude every day. Keep up the great work, Evan!
Karter Harless
Karter is a kind, fun and respectful student. She is always so positive! Anytime that she is asked a question, she responds in the most respectful manner. She produces extremely creative work and always puts her best effort into her schoolwork. Whenever she works in a group, she is always participating and keeping her group on track. Karter contributes to class discussions. She continues to lead by example. Not only is she great academically, but we love her fun personality. Keep up the great work, Karter!
Melody Awe
Melody has been a rock star when it comes to transitioning to fifth grade. She is always prepared, helps others, is organized and completes exemplary work. She is respectful to her peers and her teachers. She also is willing to share her ideas in class which is very helpful at the beginning of the year. Keep up the great work, Melody!
