McLeod County Sheriff's Office logo

The McLeod County Sheriff's Office reported the following incidents:

DEC. 12: At 4:16 p.m., the sheriff's office assisted Glencoe police with a shoplifter complaint on 10th Street East, Glencoe.

DEC. 13: At 8:59 p.m., the sheriff's office responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Babcock Avenue and State Highway 7, north of Lester Prairie. A 2002 Mercury Sable owned by Dean Ruzicka and driven by Dylan Ruzicka, 18, both of Winsted was rear-ended by a 2008 Pontiac G6 owned by Patrick Norman and driven by Kyle Norman, 18, both of Winsted. All drivers and passengers were wearing seatbelts. There were no injuries. A citation was issued.

At 9:09 p.m., the sheriff's office responded to a verbal dispute on County Road 2, southeast of Silver Lake. The situation was mediated.

DEC. 14: At 5:08 p.m., the sheriff's office responded to a report of harassment on 190th Street, west of Hutchinson. The situation was mediated.

At 6:06 p.m., the sheriff's office responded to a dog bite that had occurred in a rural area.

DEC. 15: At 3:53 p.m., the sheriff's office responded to a report of theft on State Highway 15, north of Hutchinson. The investigation is ongoing.

DEC. 17: At 7:42 a.m., the sheriff's office responded to a structure fire on Major Avenue, east of Brownton. The fire was extinguished by firefighters from Glencoe and Brownton.

At 7:45 a.m., the sheriff's office responded to a property damage crash on Lace Avenue, southwest of Silver Lake. The vehicle was a 2005 Pontiac owned and driven by Isaac Sickmann, 18, of Hutchinson. There were no injuries.
