Three people died in a car crash Monday evening, according to a report from the McLeod County Sheriff's Office.
At 10:56 p.m., emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of County Road 7 and Yacht Avenue, northeast of Stewart. A 2004 Ford Explorer driven by Wayne Bernier Jr., 32, of Gaylord was westbound on County Road 7 while a 2010 Dodge Nitro, driven by Bruce Lentz, 60, of Stewart was eastbound when the two vehicles collided.
Bernier, Lentz and Bernier's passenger, Tiffany Dralle, 25, of Gibbon, were all pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office. Lentz and Bernier were wearing seatbelts. Dralle was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
There were no witnesses or other occupants in the vehicles at the time of the crash.
The case remains under investigation.
