On behalf of the city, I want to express my thanks to the Jaycees, local businesses, sponsors, city staff, and volunteers for an outstanding 70th annual Water Carnival week. While the weather presented some challenges and uncertainty, most events still went on as planned to the enjoyment of participants and spectators alike. While we missed the fireworks due to Mother Nature’s own show, we can look forward to next year.
