Krista Holly Lofgren, 26, of Montrose passed away Thursday at her residence. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake with Father John Hayes as celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Winsted. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Further visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Casket bearers will be Matthew Wood, Cole Lofgren, Lucas Lofgren and Alex Lofgren.
Krista was born Dec. 2, 1997, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Dana Lofgren and Rebecca (Binon) Wood. She was baptized on The Feast of St. John in 1999. She also made her first communion in 2011.
She graduated in 2018 from Buffalo High School.
Krista enjoyed swinging in her swing, riding her bike, making crafts and the wind in her face.
She is survived by her parents: Rebecca (Patrick) Wood of Sleepy Eye, and Dana Lofgren of Desser, Wisconsin; siblings, Lucas, Alex, Nyssa and Cole Lofgren and Matthew Wood; her maternal grandmother, Rosemary Binon of Solon, Ohio; lots of aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Eric Lofgren in 2010.
