Jillian Marie Malone lost her battle with breast cancer Nov. 2. If you would like to pay your respects, you are welcome to attend the memorial service we are holding in her honor at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton with visitation the hour prior.

Jill was born Feb. 25, 1985, in Hutchinson to Wayne and Jane (Engrav) Schuster of Brownton. After graduating as valedictorian from McLeod West High School in 2003, she attended and ran track at Bemidji State University, earning a bachelor's degree in 2006. She then served in the Peace Corps from 2008 to 2011 before earning a law degree from City College of New York City - School of Law in 2015.

Jillian was a free-spirited woman who had an aura about her that felt like a warm hug. She devoted her life to caring for others and always looked for the good in the world. This led her to join the Peace Corps, where she traveled to Macedonia to help the children in Prilep. This quality drove her to study family law so she could stand up for those who needed her. This gift is what made her such a fantastic wife and mother. She poured herself into loving those around her and that warm hug feeling comes through with the memories of her.

She was very loved and will be missed terribly.

Jill is survived by her husband of five years, Marc Malone; children, Arran, 3, Iona, 2, and Skye, 1; mother, Jane Schuster; brother, Oliver Schuster; and sister, Alison Kraft.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Schuster.
