Carrie Michelle Erickson, 49, of Wadena, formerly of Litchfield, passed away peacefully Oct. 23 at her home.

Carrie was born Nov. 2, 1973, in Casper, Wyoming. Her family eventually moved to Litchfield. Growing up, she was a tomboy and loved being outside, getting dirty, playing with neighborhood friends, and riding bike to Lake Ripley to go swimming. Carrie loved riding on the dirt bike when she was younger, so it was no surprise when as an adult she owned a Harley and loved to ride. One of Carrie’s favorite jobs was working for the City of Litchfield taking care of the flowers around town.

Carrie and Troy were married Aug. 11, 2007, and were blessed with two daughters. Carrie loved being home and spending time with Troy, Emma, Elsa and their dogs. Carrie enjoyed gardening, bonfires, listening to George Jones, photography, and sitting outside with a cup of coffee.

Carrie is survived by her husband, Troy Erickson of Wadena; daughters, Emma, and Elsa Erickson of Wadena, and Chailey Johnson of Perham; parents, Kevin and Lois Angier of Litchfield, and Steve and Sandy Miller of Atwater; sisters Cathy (Andrew) Carlson of Hutchinson and Tessa (Tom) Rudolph of Annandale; stepsiblings JoAnn Stute of Nevis, Bryan (Tina) Beck of Brainerd and Karla (Dennis) Evans of New London; grandmother Patti Miller of Paynesville; in-laws Ted and Judy Erickson of Wadena, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Carrie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clifford and Esther Hills, Emerson and Luella Angier, and Ralph Miller; along with other family members.

The family would like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
