The Dragons, 5-3, were the fifth seed in the section and traveled to meet No. 4 Rockford in the quarterfinals Tuesday. A win would put Litchfield into the semifinals, where it would travel to top-seeded Providence Academy, 8-0, at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The other side of the section playoff bracket saw No. 2 Dassel-Cokato play host to No. 7 Holy Family, and No. 3 Watertown-Mayer play host to No. 6 Glencoe-Silver Lake. Both games were scheduled for Tuesday night.

Litchfield opened the season with five consecutive wins, then lost three in a row to finish the regular season, including a 37-13 loss to Annandale Friday.

The Dragons met Glencoe-Silver Lake, Watertown-Mayer and Dassel-Cokato during the regular season, beating GSL and losing to the other two.
