While parade-goers cheer, Darwin Mayor Josh Johnson rolls a replica twine ball through the parade.

Celebrate the world's largest ball of twine, created by one man, at Darwin's annual Twine Ball celebration this Saturday.

Festivities kick off at 7:30 a.m. with registration for the Darwin Twine-K. Throughout the day visitors can score good finds at the craft fair, bring the kids for carnival games, watch competitors compete in sand volleyball and bean bag tournaments and enjoy good food. The Darwin Pictorial Museum will also be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Registration for the kid's pedal tractor pull begins at 9:30 a.m., with the pull starting at 10 a.m. At 12:30 p.m., grab your lawn chairs and watch the Twine Ball parade. After the parade, put in your earplugs and watch the Minnesota Minn-e-Rods, beginning at 2:30 p.m. October Son will close out the evening with a performance in the park from 7 to 11 p.m.
