LIFT STATIONS: Approved purchasing control panels for the Shady Ridge and Delaware are wastewater lift stations. The total cost is $56,921.
AUCTION: Approved a resolution to sell at auction a surplus 2005 Dodge Dakota pickup truck. Fahey Auctioneers in Glencoe will handle the auction.
BOARD APPOINTMENTS: Approved the appointment of Todd Brandel to the Police Commission through May 2022, and the appointment of Jared Golde to the Library Board.
ZAMBONI: Approved the purchase of a new electric zamboni ice resurfacer to replace a 2000 zamboni with the equivalent of 250,000 miles. The total cost of the zamboni is $141,791, but a $60,000 donation from the I.J. Burich Foundation means the cost to the city is $81,791.
CONSTRUCTION: Approved an exemption to the city's noise ordinance to allow crews working on the Fifth Avenue reconstruction project to begin work at 7 a.m. on Saturdays rather than 9 a.m., as the ordinance states. The exemption was made to help make sure the project's Sept. 27 completion date is met.
WORKSHOPS: Approved setting a council workshop with the Housing and Redevelopment Authority Board at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 11. Also approved setting a council workshop at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, to review the 2019 audit report.
