After three pottery-making sessions earlier this fall, volunteers gathered on Friday for an all-day glazing party at New Journey United Church of Christ Church in Hutchinson.
The finished bowls will be used Saturday, Jan. 26, at the church's second annual Empty Bowls event. Guests can choose a handmade bowl from a selection of more than 200 bowls and enjoy a simple lunch of soup and bread for a suggested donation. The bowls go home with their new owners and the money raised goes to nonprofits that fight hunger in McLeod County.
