ound glasses not only
introduce an element of
smartness to the nerdy look, but
their round shape also fits many
different
lens
prescriptions.
Originally produced in wire for
military use, the round design
known as “P3” was soon adopted
by presidents, celebrities, and
the general public. While they
are described as being round in
shape, the P3 name references
the difference (in millimeters)
between the horizontal and
vertical lens measurements.
Because they are slightly wider
at the top, the P3 shape projects
a more flattering angle than
perfectly round lenses. While
available with and without a
keyhole at the bridge, P3s with a
keyhole are the way to go if you
want a classic look.
